MISSION STATEMENT
CCAC is a community driven organisation committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community through the arts in Clonakilty and the wider West Cork region. It aims to provide a professional, nurturing environment and network for artists, writers, performers and arts educators, providing physical space for exhibition, rehearsal, teaching and performance. In its commitment to inclusion and diversity CCAC also aims to engage with a wide variety of groups, and to enable as broad a cross section of the community as possible to avail of its services and spaces.

STRATEGIC VISION
In 2025 CCAC was the driving force behind the formation of the Clonakilty Cultural Centre Action Group (CCCAG), a grouping of 10 organisations and 20 individuals, which set forth a vision for the creation of a cultural centre on Kent St, in the heart of the town. CCAC remains committed to that vision, and will use its ‘meanwhile use’ placement at No. 8 Kent St to demonstrate how successful a permanent centre could be for the town. You can read the full strategic vision, set forth by the CCCAG, here.
In tandem with the CCCAG vision, CCAC has plans to develop its own programs and structures, including: the establishment of a permanent art collection for the town (the Asna Collection), the establishment of an artist and writers residency program, and most importantly, the securing of a permanent home for its operations within Clonakilty.
