A series of four seminars over four consecutive weeks, on the work of four outstanding contemporary Italian figurative painters: Alessandro Sicoldr, Roberto Ferri, Agostino Arrivabene and Nicola Samori. Bucking contemporary trends, these painters stand out for their commitment to revitalising the figurative tradition. In drawing upon the masters of the past, from Bosch to Carravaggio, the new Italian masters are making a case for beauty, mystery and continuity. This is an inaugural series presented by artist/writer, James Waller, arts writer for West Cork People and teacher at Clonakilty School of Painting.
